Thread: US College Football

Can I expect to get any US college football on Panama Cable. I guess NBC Universal will show some. How about the ESPN's down here? Is there even an english language espn?

Any special package to college football and even the big American Networks?

More than likely you won't get U.S. football. I know that the Venito casino has a bunch of TV's that you can watch there, plus there are a bunch of other places around the city.

There are also sports bars in the interior that has U.S. football gasmes or if you have SKYE TV sometimes shows them.

We have Colombian DirecTV and got ALL Bowl games and loads of regular season games. I can't speak for Panamanian channels or Panama Satellite but I get all the NBA playoffs (don't care too much!) Loads of NFL, not too much baseball, and all soccer. The only down side is that I don't get Sports Center in english...just the Argentenian version. Too much soccer! But we can even hear the english announcers for sports if we choose!

I didn't realize that there was Colombian DirecTV in Panama. We have Puerto Rico DirecTV and have all the basketball, U.S. football, and a lot of baseball games. We have over 130 channels - mostly English channels and love it!

So it is the start of the college football season. 2 games will be shown on Cable Onda Sports. Notre Dame/South Florida and the big LSU/Oregon game tonight. Fox Sports will show Missouri/Miami in the afternoon and Oklahoma/Tulsa tonight.

Cable Onda Sports 2 has college game day on. But no listing for what is on later today.

ESPN is showing tennis all day today so hopefully next week will be better.

It is decent but still a lot of games that are not on.

Will these stations cut away from the games when the timeslot is up or will they show overtime?

why do u guys call it football if they mainly use their hands? Or is that because they run with their feet?

and to top that off Americian football is a joke compared to Canadian football , the Americians use one more man , a shorter and narrow feild and it takes them 4 downs . LOL but they do seem to have a big following LOL

lol any sport with a bunch of fat guys rolling over eachother with helmets and covered in protection is a joke!

Overall a good day. Fox sports uses Spanish commentators. Even muted the flow of the game was not the same. I wish they just used the US feed.

Cable Onda 2 showed Georgia/Boise. I wish they would show what will be on later.
It may be possible that Cable Onda has the ESPN/ABC rights in Panama. So ESPN will always show different programming.

The ND/ USF game on Cable Onda 1 was delayed by weather but they went back to it when it started again. This cut into LSU/Oregon, but when the ND/USF game had its second delay they went to the regular programming of LSU/Oregon and never went back.

Cable Onda has a partnership with ESPN to show games online.

One the SEC starts conference play hopefully the CBS knockoff will show their game of the week.

UNC/JMU was on which was surprising. I guess games are randomly chosen.

Soccer is not a sport. It is something for kids to do that tires them out. I do not want to see a bunch of whiners chase after a ball and not score any goals in 90 minutes or longer depending on how the ref feels.

Would be nice of a schedule was available online.

Happy u managed to see some! Theres no escaping the spanish here i guess. Ive only noticed that they use english on tennis!

Yes it is tiring, cause it is a sport. Sure beats the ref stopping the game for 2 minutes every 5 or 8 seconds so everybody can catch their breath. And whiners? I never see them walking around with a mattress under their clothes so they wont get hurt lol

But regardless yr opinion of the sport, the question was why u guys insist on calling it football cause feet are hardly used :P

Thankfully the game in Spanish were not the big games.

Try putting that mattress on and playing a few downs or try playing hockey with a mattress on. Yes soccer players are whiners. It is embarrassing.
