Hello!

Countdown to Panama move: 39 days.

A friend who recently visited Panama suggested Bluegong Panama Comfort Hostel in Parque Lefevre as a place to get settled, get my bearings, etc. I am trying to find out about the area itself. I haven't found too much here, so I'm curious what it's like. I gather from maps it's not the most centrally located area, but does anyone know about travel between that region and more central areas?

I'm going for school and dance training (ballet), so I'd like a safe, comfortable area. Of course the website looks nice, but does anyone have any first-hand experience with the area or that hostel??

Also, I hear San Fransisco is more....trendy...? Ideally, I'll find some place with a fair monthly rate, and a safe place for my luggage.
