    Any Craft Stores?

I am wondering if there is any craft stores - like Michael's in US - in Panama City.
I have seen small selection - more school supplies than craft supplies - in supermarkets. But are there any stores that specializes it it - craft supplies, picture frames, etc, ?
    Thank you.

    Re: Any Craft Stores?

    Hello!
Here in Colon there is "Para Todos" which sells literally everything. Large selection, complete chaos, must be patient.
In Panama in El Dorado mall there are 2 stores that I know of that sell some stuff. Neither do I remember the name of!!! The first is a large 'department type' store that has a large red rose as the logo. It is two stories and sells crafts on the 2nd floor. The other is where my mother in law buys thread for her cross stitching.
A store called "Marcorama" or "Marcograma" (various locales, one in el dorado, another in costa del este that I know of): this is a frame store.
    Hope this helps a little!

Most Machetazo stores and many Arrocha stores have craft-supply sections!

Thanks. I have tried a few Arrochas, maybe there are bigger stores out there, but the ones I've tried do not have the stuff I am looking for - eg stuff like mounting boards, all kinds of paper/cardboard products, kids' crafts..
Will take a look at Machetazo.

Thanks. May I know where is it? I drive with the GPS, so I need some sort of intersection, or at least street name and major landmark. Thanks so much!

    1. You should try going down to Ave Central in PC. They used to have a lot of stores that might carry things you are looking for. Just be aware of your surroundings while there - there are a few pickpockets every now and then.

    2. The mall in El Dorado is just off Tumba Muerto. There is a large Rey's super that faces Tumba Muerto. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/panama/p...el-dorado-mall

    3. I think Gran Morrison is the name of the store with the rose in the logo in El Dorado Mall

Hmm - Machetazo in Caledonia. Head down Via Espana from El Cangrejo, you'll see a Novey on your right and you'll come up to the Machetazo in a few blocks on your left. Look for Titan, and the Machetazo is next to the large Green building that houses the Central Post Office.

Ask around when you get near.
