    Water- What's the story?

Is there any reason why I keep hearing/reading about water shortages and outages? I would think being 8 degrees north of the equator there would be enough rain to keep PC from having these problems, but apparently not. Is there just a really bad infrastructure in PC that prevents enough water to be supplied to all residents? Elsewhere in the country, how is the water supply?

well the reason u keep hearing about them is because they keep happening altho i have to say last few weeks have been smooth! (knock on wood). The stories go from an incompetent watercompany, to too many construction without upgrading the capacity, and from trees being chopped near some river so too much mud and debris got into the water, to the system not being able to cope with all the recent rainfall. Especially the last one seems quite funny to me, since rain is water, and the rainy season obviously is 10x worse then the recent months im guessing. Either way, yes there are issues with the water. Or at least last month there were.
I hear elsewhere most ppl have their own well, so theyre not depending on the watercompanies.
