    Learning Music

We will be moving to PC early next year. One of the first things we want to do after settling house, school and car, is looking for good music teachers for the kids. The kids have been learning since young, and it is a constant in their lives no matter where we move to.
Unlike in US, there is little information on the web - information like Music Teachers Assocuiation (if any), National Symphony(if any), conservatories, Department of music in the local university, etc.. All these are good leads to looking for good music teachers. Sadly, my googling came to little.
    Any leads?
I know this question sits pretty out of place in the forum. I am just trying my luck, I am prepared for 0 replies!
    Thanks in advance!

    Re: Learning Music

    Hello Liont,
I haven't made any arrangement with the potential school that I will be visiting in the next two weeks. Maybe when I do, I can ask the school guide that question...perhaps she/he would have some more info, since the school would have more contact with kids.

No problem. What type of musical instruments do your children play?

    Re: Learning Music

They learn the violin and the piano.
I do know there is a National Symphony there, and some sort of a conservatory (INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE MÚSICA DE PANAMÁ).
They are situated at National Institute of Music
    Albrook, Edificio 800
    Tel 501-4113
    Fax 501-4114
Usually, when I move to a new place, those are the places I'll search first - conservatories, dept of music, and the local symphony.
That is all the cyber sleuthing I've done so far!

I know somebody that teaches the violin on the Azuero but that is a little far outside Panama City.
