Thread: What do you pay your maid?

I was wondering how much everyone pays their maid to come clean an apt along with laundry? Basically for one 8 hour work day per week. Thanks in advance!

I am paying $15 for about 4-5 hours of work. Used to be more work though. $20 should be reasonable.

I am interested to find out too. Is that price nett? I mean, do you have to pay health insurance, etc for the maid? Do you hire through an agency?

No, it's a legal cash transaction. If it's a live-in permanent maid you would need to cover some more things. Shortterm handy-man and maid services are not taxable for any party in Panama. Probably cheaper to get one referred. Agency will add uplift.
