Is Panama generally over casted looking?

From the pictures I've been looking at Panama it seems like it's over casted a lot, is that true? Is it anything like the Caribbean with blue skies most of the day and the lovely sun beating down on you? I guess I'm hoping for the beautiful weather and nice beaches. Any info is appreciated!

Here in Boquete, it's been overcast and rainy all wet season. Just the last week we have had the beautiful sunny mornings and rainy afternoons. Everyone is telling me that this is not typical. Just as soon as I see the sun, the dogs and I run outside and bask....

down near pedasi we are getting way more rain than i have seen in the last 2 wet seasons , pedasi gets the least amount of rain in all of panama but this years the locals are even saying we are getting lots , but the weather has been screwed up all over the world .it is good for the crops and cows because during the dry season i have seen it go rainless except for 1/2 hour in 4 months . so all is good , it still is nice and warm , and even when you get rained on it is a warm rain .but damn the beer is so cold LOL

My personal opinion is the Azuero is the best place to be in Panama during rainy season. We still get more sunshine than anywhere else in the country but at least it cools off.
