    Beer

I know something has been mentioned before but just is passing about local beers. Are there ones brewed in Panama or are most imported. Are they any good.

I think all 4 of the beers taste about the same. I like Balboa the best and don t forget Cristal. For .35 to .50 each the price was right and when you are hot and need a drink beer is a great choice. Cool thing was that soda and beer are about the same price with beer being a bit less.

I agree that the Panamanian beers are fine and very inexpensive but I also paid less for US and European beers than I do in most places in the US. If you go out for a beer or three with Mr Woohoo, you will save a lot if you stick to Panamanian beers.

Gotta love cheap beer, WOOHOO!! I have to say I tied on a pretty good one at Playa Venao while drinking Balboas, and I felt like a big pile of POO for about a week later. Soberana and Panama are my choice of domestics. Heineken can be had for 60-70 cents along with Guinness and Tecate. Bud is also sold here but I think it is some of the most overpriced swill on the market.
