    Visa to Panama from Ukraine

    Hi,
I am interested in Panama offshore business; however, I don't trust lawyers, so I prefer to visit Panama myself to read and sign all documents myself before registration.
However, I am not sure is it easy to get Panama visa?
Can anyone say is it complex to get Panama visa for Ukrainian citizens? What documents do I need to get Panama visa, how many time needed to get Panama visa and how many will it cost?

Its fairly easy get a tourist visa its only good up to 90 days.

You fly into town and you get it at the airport its pretty cheap under 45 USD and its fairly quick not even 15 minutes to get.

I had to get a tourist Visa and I'm Panamanian because I flew in with passport from another country when I fly in Here. Since I don't carry a Panamanian passport and at the time I didn't have Panamanian ID.

Now if you want to stay longer than 90 days that will require a lawyer. Often though people go in and out of the country every 90 days to get their visa renewed.

A Ukrainian has to pay $45 for a stamp on their passport? It doesn't cost me anything.

Its not the stamp you pay for but before they stamp your passport you need to get a little slip that's your tourist visa. I only used it once 3 years ago. I am Panamanian but this was when I was moving to Panama. I came with a non Panamanian passport for the first time. Meaning I had to go through the non Panamanian process. I had to pay a small fee it was less than 45 bucks it could of been 10 but I really don't remember. After I got that tourist slip then I went through the line and got my passport stamped. I was explained since I didn't have a cedula I had to pay for that slip. Ever since then I have gotten a cedula and don't pay for that tourist visa slip.

They don't do the little slip anymore. It used to cost $5, now they just stamp. Three months ago, we had to buy a little postage stamp thingy to put on the passport, but they don't even do that anymore. At least they didn't two weeks ago.

Yeah it seemed pretty pointless to me a stamp does just fine.

Do they charge anything? I know the tourist visa has a minimum fee. The fee use to pretty much be the 5 USD slip.

However the gist of everything is that coming to Panama is pretty simple and cheap.

This is no charge for the passport stamp, but you will sometimes have to show a "return ticket". To get into Costa Risa, we had to go purchase a bus pass for $12.60. We didn't want or need it, but it didn't matter, we had to have it. We used it to get back into Panama too. The CR agent did tell us it was good for a year though... Then there is the tip to the guy who shows you where to go to get the bus ticket, the taxi, the stamp......

This is all irrelevant for someone from the Ukraine.

You need to go to a Panamanian embassy or consulate to apply for a visa.

A US or Shengen visa could work for entry to Panama as well. Otherwise you need to go to Moscow to apply for a visa.

Please remove all the incorrect answers - someone could buy a plane ticket based on your speculations!!!

I'm from the US and am living here in Panama. Everything I said was relevant for a US citizen. I know nothing about what a person from the Ukraine would have to go through to get here.

Ed Bowers- Why would someone from the Ukraine need to go to Moscow for a visa?? I assume you mean Kiev? :-)

It looks like they have a consulate in Ukraine though.

It's an honorable consul, cannot do a thing, but to stamp some stuff, handle diplomatic mail and hold hands.

I spent about a week with customers from the Ukraine and I asked them.

There is one tourism company in Ukraine that provides services for
Ukrainians to get visa from Russian embassy(in around 150 euro for their
services and 70$/-150$ for embassy, it depends how quickly he wants visa
to be opened - 1 or 2 weeks).
    Contacts:
    Sonata travel
    Kyiv, Dmytrivska str.19-a, office 4,
    +380445070232
contact person - Alla Tarar (she works with Panama destination).
If your customer will need further information I can explain him
