Thread: Mx to Panama

Hey everybody , I'm Arturo (Art) , I live in Mazatlan , Sinaloa , Mx. with my wife Nena. I've lived in Mx most of the last 15 yrs , Nena most of her life . We speak spanish /english. For a variety of reaons we are lookin for a new home and Panama seems to be on the very short, short list. Our big logistical problem is an overabundance of dogs. We have 2 older female pitbulls , a toy poodle and a cockerpoo or some varieations thereof. It wasn't exactly family planning , believe me.
Nena and I will be flyin down for a look around/ start visa process in a couple weeks , we're pretty self sufficent with that . What we'd like to know is if anyone has recently driven the Pan Am from Mx to Panama w/dogs. If so, what kind of hassle did you have to endure at boder crossings ( about the dogs)of the countries passed thru? Is it do-able . We hate the idea of our dog-children in the bagage hold of an airplane. Thanks
