Thread: So I met the mayor of Las Tablas

Funny thing happened to me today. I walked out to the main road to catch a bus or taxi this morning. A 4x4 was dropping somebody off at the entrance to my neighborhood near me, saw I was trying to hail a cab, and the guy behind the wheel gave me the Panamanian double finger wave. This is a similar motion you will get out of a jacked up Panama City taxi driver and is the request of "where are you going"? I walked over, asked "central Las Tablas" in Spanish and he said "get in". We drove into downtown. I introduced myself, we talked, exchanged cards, and he stopped at the municipal building. I thanked him and went upon the rest of my day. A few minutes ago I showed my Panamanian girlfriend his biz card and she started laughing. Come to find out the Mayor of Las Tablas picked me up this morning.

I met a beautiful girl from Las Tablas while I was living in Chitre (met her at the PH during carnivales)... I'm living in Panama City now but we're still in touch

Las Tablas has it's share of good looking girls, no doubt. There are some very decent quality women here.
