First of all, thank you for sharing those videos.

Back in the day when I lived in Panama, there were organized carnival parades in Colon (city) and Panama City. Do these still occur?

Hi Panamax, I do believe they are still doing Carnival in Colon. Btw, here is a new one using some scraps of a previous. Got more new ones coming out later today.

Nice job on the videos. I gotta ask, do they do more than just mill around in the streets? I must be getting old cause the first thing I thought about after that was what a pain in the *** it would be to find a bathroom. How do they handle that situation? I have a vision of a long line of portapotties with long lines of people all doing the pee pee dance in front of them.

Thanks vintageray, it is pretty much milling around on the streets and getting really drunk. Hard to believe people take very small children into the madness. During the day it can wind up being a lot of push and shove. There are lines to the portapotties and yes, people are doing the p-p dance. I am lucky enough that my house is just down the road and I am not using the portapotties.

Your videos could serve as a reality check for North American retirees being sold a bill of goods by realtors about a tropical paradise and quaint native people.

I have to admit I didn't realize how hard people party down here. One thing I can say is that I did not see one fight or a single altercation the entire time. Between the booze and the heat that is pretty good.
