I just returned from Carnival in Chitre and one of the highlights of my trip was dinner at QuePasta restaurant. Excellent Italian cuisine, a nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. I was quite impressed with the place and wish there was one like it in Panama City!
QuePasta is located on the main road into town, close to the Metro Pharmacy. It is owned by an expat named Jeff- I met him really quickly- nice guy.
They have a menu where you can "mix and match" the pasta you want with whatever sauce you want. My novia and I each had a pasta dish, salad, and garlic bread, she had a soda, and I had a couple glasses of sangria, and a postre for a total of around USD $21. I thought that was a great deal for the quality of the food!
Gotta love the prices in the interior. Did not know there is a good Italian restaurant in Chitre. Me and my novia went to one on the other side of Chitre and they screwed up the spaghetti in a big way. Quite literally burnt it and the sauce was just a hair better than ketchup.
