Thread: I finally yelled at the neighborhood kids

So here I am in Las Tablas, standing on my porch, talking on the cell and BANG!!! Another pop-fly baseball bounces off the aluminum roof right above where I am standing. Now this hasn't happened just once or twice mind you. We are talking about 20 - 30 times since I have been living here, not to mention how many have bounced across the porch or just into the yard. I really hated to do it but in a loud voice I asked "POR FAVOR NO MAS"!! No doubt I am probably considered the "angry gringo" at this point but hopefully everybody gets over it and nobody robs the house while we are gone.

Probably I am surely that unreasonable SOB that doesn't think getting his house hit for a home run is a cause for celebration. The kids were playing today and nobody hit us so, we shall see.

Lol, yes, I am that ugly American going around and giving the US a bad reputation for being so rude. Oh well, if you plan to live like a local you gotta put on your happy face at all times. As a matter of fact the reason I am awake at midnight is because a Toyota 4x4 Hi-Lux with a bunch of local Panamanian youngsters pulled up next to the empty play lot next to the house to have a party. Once again I am located in the middle of a Panamanian neighborhood and these youngsters really enjoy the bass. I know this music at midnite is not directed at me and if a neighbor calls the police to complain the kids will catch some heck for it. Not sure why these kids decided the middle of the neighborhood is a good place to have a throw-down? It's not like there isn't a boat load of empty roads, cow fields, and beaches they could be doing this in. Especially this being so close to Carnival and the police have been out and about checking cars already pulling into town.
