Hey everyone!
Is there a subway system in Panama City? I've already read about the Diablos Rojos.
Thanks
Mike
ps--what other kinds of public transportation are there besides taxis and busses?

Just taxi's and buses. Not to worry, you can get across town in a taxi for $2. Just know your landmarks. Addresses here are somewhat of a joke seeing how street signs are somewhat new. Major streets such as Calle 50, Calle Uruguay, Via Espania, and Via Argentina are pretty much known by taxis but most of the side streets have been almost nameless for a long time.![]()
Cool..sounds like a fun system. It's curious how east-coast cities (NYC, Buenos Aires) have pretty nice subways and the West Coast ones (Los Angeles, Lima) have either none or almost non-existent subways.. But I'm basing this on the cities I've been to so correct me if I'm wrong...but is it because the west coast cities are newer? or does it have to do with shifting tectonic plates or something?
hmm..
San Francisco, CA has quite the rail and trolley system and they basically sit on a fault line. There is now plans to put a metro in Panama City and getting rid of the rojos.
