I'm gonna be in Panama City in Jan 2010 for a couple months, living and working...looking to find an affordable apartment in a decent area. I've looked on craigslist but most of the apartments are too expensive that are listed there. Anyone know of a good website with cheaper property listings? Ideally I'd find something in the 500-700 dollar range, for one person, and short term.
Hey Mike, having been in the rental biz myself in Panama City I will say most people are shocked by the prices. Even hostels will charge over $300 per month, maybe you get AC? If you want a good downtown location for $500-$700 per month you are more than likely going to have to get shared accommodations. Short-term one bedrooms generally get at least $1200 per month if you can find one at that price? Are you in a situation that you need to be in Panama City all the time. You will save a bundle and still be able to get good internet outside of the city. El Valle is a great location at a higher elevation and still under a 2 hour bus trip (runs all day long) from the terminal.
