    Work for Americans

    Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone could offer some advice on the best industries for an American to obtain employment. I live in South Florida currently, but looking to move to Panama for a change. Please any reasonable advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unless you want to start your own business in Panama getting a job may be difficult . If you are in a highly skilled area of employment finding a job will be easier . Good Luck . Seems like all the Americans around here in Bocas Del Toro become real estate agents ,which is not a good profession right now or own their own company .

To clarify/expand on what Tarzan said:

You cannot work here legally, unless a) you become a Panamanian citizen (a long process), or b) you get a Panama company to sponsor you (difficult, unless you have a highly specialized skill), or c) you start your own company that employs at least 5 Panamanian citizens.

Many of those real estate agents in Panama he refers to are working illegally.

    Try P&G

Proctor & Gamble are moving their people here in droves from Venezuela.
