Looking to buy or have built a new boat ??

The wife and I are looking for a good used center console boat or having a new one made . Can anyone suggest a builder or know of someone that is selling theirs ? Something in the 24-25 foot range , single 4 stroke with a top ? I will need it delivered to Bocas Del Toro .
    Thanks !

    Hi Tarzan95959,

I just returned to California from a 3.5 month trip in Bocas. I would recommend the folks over at Bocas Boss.

    http://www.bocasboss.com

They repaired my Evinrude 60hp engine after it sank. Earl Meck, the owner, is a good, honest guy.

Bocas Boss usually has a used boat or two in stock but can also custom-outfit center console boats like the one you're looking for.

    Hope this helps.

    Where across from Hospital Point?

I have a little piece of property on the far end of Carenero (the end pointing out to sea).

You may be able to find some cheaper boats deals in Panama City, and I'm sure you could find someone to truck the boat across to Bocas. Not sure how much that would cost, or how safe it would be!

Well shoot ! We are almost nieghbors . Do you know where Ed Cressy's place is ? Its the natural octogon wood house that sets high up on Juan Brown point ? You can see it from Hospital Point in the channel . IT has the white roof . I am only a couple houses from there . So where are you in California?

No, actually I do not know Ed Cressy. I'm also not sure where Juan Brown's point is. Are you on Solarte or Bastimentos?

In California, I live South of SF in Menlo Park. You?

Nevada city , but were in the process of moving to our ranch in Idaho . Not a good time to be selling real estate in California but I am ready for a slower pace life .
Juan Brown point is the point on the right side of Bastimentos town as you approch from Bocas or Carenaro .
You must just be up from Ray Kennedy's place . I rented a little house near you in 2001 while building mine .It was right next to Dave & Margo Carey's place . Beautiful Island you live on . Are the "No see ems" still as bad ? That was the only big drawback I had .
We have had the place for about 8 years now . I really enjoy the time we spend there . Thinking seriously about just making a full time move there for health reasons . I always lose weight and always feel better when we are down there . This trip I got into handline fishing and loved it . We always catch fish .
Going to try and make a return trip in August .

Right on. Good luck with the moving process. Idaho is gorgeous.

Ok, now I know what you're talking about on Bastimentos. Beautiful are as well.

Yep, my place is just up from Ray & Lois, just on the other side of the island, facing Bastimentos. I love Bocas as well, especially when you have a little place of your own, outside of town. I feel like I am a world away on Carenero and I'm guessing you feel the same way on Bastimentos.

Not sure when I'll be back there, but I might be there in August. Perhaps we'll run into each other.

    Best,
    Derek
