There are 3 or 4 phone stores on the lower level of Plaza Concordia, on Via Espaņa across from El Rey. At least one of those shops can unlock phones. I think the price depends on the model of phone; a couple years ago, I paid $25 to unlock a new model Motorola that they'd never seen in Panama.

No. Go to Plaza Concordia, to the lower level. There are 3 phone stores there, on that level. The one farthest to the the west (i.e., toward Carmen Iglesia) does unlocking.

Yes, but I don't know what you mean by "other services." Cappuccino? Massage? Shoe shine?

An iPhone should be no problem to unlock, because they are relatively common here. However, if you bring them a new model phone they've never seen before, it may take some time. E.g., 3 years ago when I took them a Moto PEBL, I waited for about half an hour -- I assume because they were in the back room getting the unlock codes off the internet -- because at that time they'd never seen a PEBL.

They are a phone store; they don't handle computers.
But there are many, many computer stores and repair shops in PC.

Thank you exilio!

The site gives you free software to unlock the Iphone. I have not used it myself since I do not have an Iphone. A friend of mime use it and it worked very well for him. It was also featured on Cnet a few months ago. Be aware that by unlocking the phone you will lose any warranty.

But I think it needs some gadgets and materials and it would be risky for my Iphone.
