    Places to Visit in Panama

I am coming to Panama for the 1st time for 8 days:
Can you recommend an intinerary of cities to see in this short visit, probably just a couple must sees?
i.e. fly into to Panama City, stay 2 nights and go to?
I'm a single, 40 yo, looking to experience the best of Panama and open to possibilities to move down there in the future.... Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
    Gran

    8 days is too short!

but still- enjoy what you have!
if you are looking for coomon places to retire- here`s a suggestion for you itinerary:
2 days panama, with the bus 2 days el valle de anton, 2 days boquete then by plane to bocas, one night ther (very short) and then back by air to panama.
like this you gonna miss a lot (including our place), but as a short overview...
you gonna spend a lot of time travelling, too.
next time- a minimum stay of 15 days
    greetings
    mick

Buy the Moon Guide to Panama (the one with the ocelot on the cover). Read it, and go to the places that interest you and fit your timeline and budget.

Everyone's tastes are different. Do you like hot? Want something cooler? Need a city and nightlife? Want to be close to the beach? Etc. etc. etc. E.g., most think Boquete is great, I think it's boring beyond belief. Bocas is fun, but I -- personally -- could not consider it for a permanent residence (for many reasons).

Nice suggestions... Thanks hibiscusgarden & exilio. I checked out your hotel website & your place sounds great. I think with just 8 days I need to narrow it down to just 2 maybe 3 places. I want to see a potential place to "retire", meet some interesting "intellegent professional girls", and stay in "warm beautiful" places. Sounds like it's pretty hard to go wrong anywhere...

    @ Gran

So how is Panama after so many years? I got two questions . . .
What has changed in Panama after 8 year? (People? Culture?)
What hasn't changed at all in last 8 years?
