Thread: 65,000 Americans retired to Panama?

This is interesting since it states that there are way more American expats in Panama than in Costa Rica.

It shows that Panama is definitely the way to go, although I was rather shocked at the amount of Americans in Mexico which I find rather ironic considering that most of the illegal immigrants in the U.S. seem to come from there. So while some of their natives are leaving their country to come to America, some Americas leave to go live there. I'm sure they all live in the nice areas though and not the poor sections where the situation is real tough.

I hope they do pass this if it really is beneficial as it's better than some of the other proposals I've seen to boost the economy.

Nice news... much more than what I expected.. I was expecting somewhere in the range of 30-35 K. Does any one have information about the number of Australians living in Panama?
