    The location

Also the US influence which has built a better infrastructure than you will find in other Latin American countries.

I think what makes Panama Panama is it's unique geographical position. It is a natural land bridge that connects two continents together. Because of this, it has the greater variety of wildlife than any other country in Mesoamerica. And the government is continously preserving the country's natural beauty with 29% of its land area strictly protected.

I think it is a mixture of its great scenery, the people living in it and the climate! Panama would never be known for being a great place if it wasn’t for these elements.

I've seen Panama country in some books and post cards. The views are as beautiful as we have here in our country. And since many people's races are there for vacation, I expect the Panamian people are very hospitable.

I think Panama is a more stable country than a lot of other Southern American countires and Latin American ones. Also, there isn't as much violence, such as there is in places like Columbia.

i'd say Panama Channel... it's the biggest achievement here. a lot of cruise ships pass there every day... bringing a lot of tourists [at least for few hours] in Panama.

Yeah, i was wondering the same thing for a while but i noticed what the people on this forum have been saying about it and i think it is a very unique and diverse country and everybody has love for each other. If only it was the same in all countries, it would be a much more peaceful world. Don't you think?

I think every country is unique. Each has its own specialties and unique aspects. Panama's canal and its usage of the American dollar are major aspects that differentiate from the rest of the world.

THERE ARE 3 TRULLY AMAZING UNIQUE THINGS THAT YOU CAN ONLY FIND IN PANAMA:
    1.KUNA ISLANDS AND ITS INHABITANTS.

2.AZUERO. THE TRADITIONS AT HERRERA & LOS SANTOS PROVINCES.

3.ENJOY BEACHES ON THE TWO GREATEST OCEANS IN THE PLANET IN LESS THAN AN HOUR...YES IN 1 HOUR OR LESS YOU CAN SWIM THE ATLANTIC AND THE PACIFIC WITHOUT EVEN BOARDING A PLANE.
    PRETTY UH?

I agree that number 3 is cool, but can't you do the same thing in Costa Rica?

Which country do you think has better beaches? Costa Rica or Panama? I prefer Panama's beaches.

I think it's mainly the culture and atmosphere that separate it from the rest (in a good way).

Actually those factors make each country unique, not just Panama. And there's also the sights that the country has to offer. For example in the USA there's the Statue of Liberty, there's no other in the world, therefore it sticks out. Panama has the Panama Canal and so on.
