Panama-Guide.com - I just received this response from Marco Shrem, the primary owner of the Grupo MSG that is developing Malibu Beach Park and Resort: "Dear Mr. Winner: Malibu Beach Park and Resort has been bought by one of the shareholders of the project because the other partners are in financial problems (ECONOPLADE GROUP). All management of the project is now under Malibu Offices with a new group of shareholders. (Construction on the) project will re-start in the next 2-3 weeks and is (still the) best Beach Project in Panama. The New Group is a solid group, including banks as shareholders of the project. The new offices are located in Building Victoria Plaza 5th floor and the phone numbers are 300-5208. We are now signing contracts with the builders to re-start construction as soon as possible. And There You Have It: A case of start, stall, refinance, restart... Happens all the time. And the answer straight from the horse's mouth. I have to say that I had some serious doubts with the MSG Group and their Naos Harbor project which I was worried about, but now they seem to have broken through those problems and are jamming along nicely. Maybe the same thing will happen with the Malibu Beach Resort. In any case, standing by. Thank you, Marco, for writing.
