    can anyone in Panama help

I have been trying to contact the national university of panama. I can get through to the administration department by phone, but they keep giving me the wrong phone numbers for obtaining the information i am looking for.

I am trying to find the email address of the administrative department in order to get costs of university courses. My spanish is not yet good enough for conversation. I can understand some things but really what I need is an email address so that I can write. it is much easier for me to write in spanish than to have a conversation in spanish. They keep giving me phone numbers which are wrong.

Does anyone have any information that can help me?

thanks for reading. hope you can help.

If you spend enough time on the UP website (www.up.ac.pa), you'll find some email addresses. (Start under "Como Somos.") Not for admin, but for the PR director, secretary general, and others. Be aware, however, that Panamanians do not treat email like the rest of the world: Even when you are emailing a hotel to make a reservation, you may get a response, you may not -- and even if you do, it will take a few days. You'll probably have more luck if you struggle through one phone call with one person to develop a friendly rapport, and ask that person for his/her email address.

    Hi Zog,

    You can try this link:

    http://www.up.ac.pa/PortalUp/index.aspx

But I suggest you should go directly to the campus and find out what you want to know.

    Regards,
    Yatzi

    Zog:
    I gave you the link.
As I said, go to Como Somos.
    Then Unidades Administrativas.
On that page, you'll find several links to various people in the UP; some of them have email addresses, some don't.

    Hi Yatzi,

I will pay a visit when I am over. Just wanted to have plenty of information in advance. I am only going to be over for about 10 days. :-)

    many thanks,
    J.
