Hi nuaeman, I dont think this original threads purpose was a year-long weather/driving report. Just a suggestion.

Great info, nuaeman! Thanks. I am leaving tomorrow (Monday) and heading for Boquete. A wonderful new friend in the area found me a gorgeous house to rent, and at a great price.

From everything I've read it appears that the climate in the Boquete area is quite different, cooler and less humid than the rest of Panama. I compared annual rainfall between Boquete and Kelowna, BC Canada. We average around 11 inches and Boquete showed over 80 inches, which got me a little concerned. My friend in Boquete said that much of that comes overnight though, so it's not as bad as it sounds. Do you agree?

    Can't wait to get there!

Kyle , you are in for a ride...
The only thing you should keep telling yourself is, 'I can come back and do this again". I acted like it was the last and only time. I did not eat or sleep for the first 48 hrs...not recommended. Take your time and pace yourself!!
Martin is great, take his lead.
    Too many women...Too little Time!!!
    Don't hurt yourself like I did !!!!!!
Can't wait to go back, Probably in Decenber. Merry Christmas to me.

Thanks bro, I'll bring pics. You will not believe it!!
Completely different watching it on tv as opposed to standing in the middle of it.

I am sure that hurricane Ike changed the landscape. My best wishes to you and your neighbors. As far as the nubies to Panama I will make sure to keep them away from LD.

I am going to Panama next week, or the week after. However, I don't think I will have time for meeting anyone. And also I don't really enjoy these kinds of meetings...

Getting there end of January if everything goes as planned. To be honest, no matter how many plans I did and how many info I gathered, I still don't have the slightest idea of what to expect. I only hope it's exciting, everything else I can cope with
