    Where do you meet people?

Where do you meet people from online? You want to do it somewhere safe, because you do not know the person. You also want to do it somewhere fun, where you can get to know each other a little better.

I like to meet up with people from craigslist. You can find people who want to do the same things as you, such as book clubs or tennis.

There are tons of ways to meet people online, however doing it safely is the somewhat hard part. If your a young female, you run an even bigger risk since your the main target for all those sick people out there.

Anyway, as tallman33 craigslist is a good place to meet some people as they have a section for events related to various interests and you might find some people that enjoy the same tihings as you. There's also MySpace, Facebook, and similiar services. But the important part is meeting up with the person at a reasonable time and in a public area that is not too empty nor crowded so if something does happen most likely someone will notice and contact the authorities on time.

And there are various ways they may harm you, for example they might not want to rape you, but instead rip you off, rob you etc.

I think we could choose a park with a lot of people or some place like a cafebar or some other nice public place. Safety is important, but we should choose a good place for a nice memory of the meeting.

    Meeting people

There is always a group that meets in the main public park. Is every city in CR or Panama. Usually at around 9 or 10.

It also helps when you are connecting in a forum like this to mention your city of residence.

I live in David, Panama. :-)

Since coming here last December I have met a great number of friends at Amigos Restaurant in Boquete. Some, mostly men, I have met through playing pool and some from starting conversations on the patio. Asking if they are visiting or live here usually works well. It is probably not the way to meet that "special" someone, but the more people you know, the better your chances of meeting their single friends. It appears to be more difficult to meet older single women in Boquete because most are very young and there are many more men than women here.

I am in the process of designing my "people" section of my HelloBoquete.com website, so if you have any ideas on how we can best meet others in a safe environment, please drop me an email.

If I were to meet first time live someone I only knew online and didn't have the possibility to check if he was true about his identity ,I would choose either a videorecorded place or in front of the police station and then go some place nearby to have a drink or something to eat .

Given that by nature I'm cynical and paranoid, I refuse to meet any single online individuals, who often misrepresent themselves. I'm more comfortable in a group setting where the odds of everyone being nuts is pretty far-fetched.

Everybody here is a little unusual (nuts) in their own way, lol. The Bank District is actually a pretty safe and extremely convenient place to meet people. There are many outdoor restaurants, bars, Marriott hotel, and allot of police making sure that people are not getting robbed. Since this is the area of money in the city they make sure it is well patrolled.
