The wonderful thing is for only another 100 bucka month you can also take with you other dependents like your children. I am thinking seriously of moving there if my parents decide to take the plunge with my Hubby. So that is also great news for us too.

hello to all of you , after living for some 20 years in florida i intend to move to panama , finally retiring . i have for some 15 years a corp.here and now i am receiving retirement money in form from rental income through my company . it seems this does not count for my intention of the pansionado visa .?
has anyone paid lately the fees for the attorneys in regards to this visa ? the legal site mentions some $1.250.- , is this the going rate ? any advise would be highly appreciated . saludos sailor 48

If your company can write a letter stating that you have a *lifetime* pension above the minimum requirement, and you can get that letter apostilled in Florida, you may be able to qualify for a pensionado visa. In addition, you should be able to show at least three months of bank deposits matching your pension amount. But, it all kind of depends on your attorney. Rates run from $900 to $1500. Personally, I think that legal bargains rarely are -- especially when you're looking to test the boundaries of the visa requirements.

I red in the mentioned Links also:

"All visa applications require that you obtain a health certificate and HIV test in Panama."

HIV Test in Panama? No Problem about that.

But what about the General Health?
Are bad eyes a Problem for getting Visas?
