I am in contact with a Panamanian company which seems to provide a variety of services regarding banking, land purchase, etc.

It there anyway of checking out their reputation online, prior to meeting them? Such as some version of Better Business Bureau (or does that kind of thing exist in Panama)

Here are some options in finding legal representation:
1. Contact your embassy in Panama and see if they have a list of suggested attorneys.
2. Ask the people in this forum, anybody doing business in Panama has one.
