Hi everyone -- i'm new to the forum.

I have a few questions about Panamanian citizenship eligibility, which I hope the members here can help me with.

I applied for macro forestry investor visa status, and received the provisional resident permit in June 2004, and then obtained permanent residency resolution in August 2007 (with cedula issued shortly thereafter).

  1. When would I qualify to apply for the citizenship?
  2. Based on web search, I read that a Spanish proficiency, civics/history tests are required. Is this true? Has anyone taken this test, and know how difficult the tests are?

Thank you!
