According to the street Empresas Bern is the company referred to here (could be incorrect):

The owner is alleged to utilize sources of capital other than recognized financial institutions for his real estate projects.

Now, who are the owners then?

I recall that about two decades ago (in the distant past) the Bern companies may have got into some financial difficultity and a very wealthy Jewish family here in Panama stepped forward and provided the financial assistance to get them through that period of financial difficulty. I think that "well known" local family may still own on interest in the Bern companies. As a DEVELOPER Herman Bern "is the man" as he deliveries his promises in a timely fashion and is a quality builder controling almost all phases of a building a project depending on very few subcontractors.
