Hi all I`ve used the search function but without success so I`m hoping someone here could answer my questions.

I`m currently teaching English in Brazil and I`m thinking of moving on in January afer carnival to either Colombia or Panama. I`ve tried to reasearch employment possibilities but there is nothing at all for teaching jobs.
Here in Brazil the work visa is very difficult to obtain so it`s all under the table, can that be said for Panama?
Also, what are the penalties if you`re caught by immigration working on a tourist visa? Will employers touch me without a work visa?
Also, do you need a social security number to purchase electrical items, rent an apartment or get an internet contract? Here in Brazil you can get one on a tourist visa, is it similar in Panama?
Finally, do you think it will be a rewarding place to work for 6 months to get to know the people, countryside, food and culture etc?
