    Paying a Parking Ticket

So I got my first parking ticket today at 1.34 PM - apparently I had parked my motorcycle incorrectly next to Parque Porras. I had parked it in between two cars as usual - not sure what the problem was.

The ticket was from the Municipio de Panama so I drove over there after having lunch.

Went into the office where you deal with car registrations and such, went straight to the Caja and presented the ticket. She verified that the motorcycle was in my name and printed the payment receipt (stamped 2.25 PM) and I gave her 50 cents.

    Re: Paying a Parking Ticket

I have a feeling it would have cost me around 100 dollars and my sanity if the vehicle was not in my name. I asked the cashier how you park a motorcycle incorrectly - she didn't know.

Via Espana is a road that goes through the entire city, from east to west. What does it say exactly?

Trough Rio Abajo (From Via Cincuentenario and east bound) the name of the road is Avenida Jose Augustin Arrango. Via Espaņa is just in the city center.

Maybe you should tell a cab driver that and wait for the blank stare.

No, first it will be "Si Senor" you will get the blank stare only when he drops you off in Santa Ana pointing to an official looking building and you ask if he has change for a $10 bill.
