Can employees sue if you fire them?

Can employees sue if you fire them? In the U.S., employees often sue their employers after being fired.

They will take you to the labor board before you can blink . Make damn sure you keep good records and have then sign for every paycheck they recieve .
Don't ask how I know this .

Good advice tarzan95959. Some employees can seem like your best friend, but when they are desperate for money (or in some cases if they are simply bad people and just pretend to be nice) they will try to legally steal money from you. No matter whether they are religious people or not, some will do it, so take good care of your money and business.

I haven't had any negative experiences with employees in Panama so far, but there are other Latin American countries that have very similar laws (the laws are very much "pro" employee and "contra" employer) and I've had some "experiences" there.

Just always be very formal and exact with your employees... and as a general rule it's a bad idea to loan money to an employee or give him money in advance (it's mostly a headache to get the money back, and the next month he/she will probably ask again).

Don't loan money without a signed contract to anyone, especially an employee.

I guess pretty much all employees would do the same like in other countries, especially when being fired for unreasonable things.
