What hotels have you stayed in?

What Panama hotels have you stayed at? How did you like them? Do you recommend any of them?

Talking Hotels During Dec 15-Dec 24 Visits

Nights

1. Canopy Towers, Gamboa: We drove here our first night and inquired about staying for one night. They fit us in, and we stayed one night. Really liked the hotel and it's location. Service was great (after they fixed the mixup with our reservation). Our room was on the second floor and had it's own bathroom, which was nice. Our thing I did not like was the small beds, but we just pushed the two together and made one big bed, which worked fine. The food was good and included, and we took a tour in the morning of Pipeline Road which was included as well. The observation deck on top of the hotel is worth the entire stay. Gorgeous, relaxing views. Recommend this place. It is kinda pricey, but worth it I think for the unique experience and service.

2. Mirage Casino and Hotel, David: We were tired after driving all day, and a huge parade was going through David which stopped travel on some roads, so we simply pulled into the first place we found. Got a room, which was simple, nice for the money and cheap. $22 for the night, which I think is the cheapest room I have ever stayed in. Anyway. Good place to just crash for the night. Nice people at the front desk and helpful.

3. Hotel Bambito (near Cerro Punta): Stayed here after hiking all day on Quetzal Trail at Volcan Baru. This place was very nice and I loved the grounds with the duck ponds and flowers. Had an indoor jacuzzi and pool, as well as a massage area. We both had massages, and used the jacuzzi that night. Our room was very nice with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was included and very good.

4. Bocas Inn (bocas del toro): Hoped for a room here and one was available when we arrived and inquired. Room was very simple and clean and we enjoyed the staff at the hotel and service. Very helpful staff for tours and the like. Good drinks at the little bar.

5. Veneto--Wyndham (Panama City): This place was very posh, in my opinion. The bed may be more comfortable than the one at my house. We reserved a room, and were put on the Executive Floor without even asking for an upgrade. Service was top notch. We did not try the pool and jacuzzi, but they looked very nice. Did use the spa which was the nicest I have been in ever. Had massages which were very good as well. Breakfast included with the room was incredible--buffet and super yummy. Internet came with the room as well, after I requested it. Loved this place. Oh, the shower was very nice as well.

6. Gran Hotel Nacional (david): This place was very nice. We basically just slept here, but the service was good, price was low, and room was comfortable.

I think this about covers it. I saw another place called Finca Lerida that I would have loved to have stayed at, but it was not possible because of our flight schedules with Bocas.
