Reporting 2 nice low price places:
1). Barú Lodge - Calle 2da Norte, 507.393.2340, 8 59' 38.80N 79 31' 18.74W
2). Nueva Venecia - Calle 3ra Norte, 507.396.2204, 8 59' 45.33N 79 31' 18.02W
Two blocks from each other. 5 min from the intersection Vía España y Brazil.
As of April 2010 charged me $35.00 breakfast included. Can be bargained down a little. Both have parking, Cable TV, A/C, friendly staff.
Close to everything. Have vacancies when other places don't.

Marparaiso on Calle 34 is not bad for about $50 with breakfats.
