In June of 07', my folks wanted to see Panama so we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Panama City just off of Via Espania near the Cathedral. It was not worth the money, the hotel itself was not bad, good food. My complaint was the internet connection was horrible, unreliable, cost extra, expensive. Also there was work going on outside the building, we had a painting crew using our adjoining balconies the entire time, complained to the front desk and they did not care, had to keep the shades drawn. Dont spend this much money in Panama for a hotel room that treats its guests like this.

I believe so, I found that the Las Vegas Hotel Suites was much better suited to me and it was $50/nite

The Crowne Plaza hotel used to be a Holiday Inn and I only spent a night there a couple of years ago. The Internet connection didn't work at all. But the real deal breaker for me were the sealed windows... the lack of oxygen was disturbing.
