While not a restaurant, B&B Inn Cerrito Tropical on Taboga Island is famous for its typical fresh fish (corvina filet or whatever is freshest) lunches and dinners prepared by their experienced chef. He can accommodate guests with advance notice so that he procures the freshest fish available, and the fresh coconuts to make his coconut rice from scratch (not from a can).

His signature sauces for the fish - criole or garlic - are delicious. Our favorite is the criole.

Ask for the coconut rice if you love it like we do, because sometimes he prepares another style, to make sure the chef has it ready, it takes some time to prepare.... picking the coconut, cracking it, extracting the juice and grating the meat.

About $10 pp. no credit cards accepted, while we help him market and organize his services, this is his own small business, please pay him in cash.

Let him know in advance and he will prepare fresh homeade Flan de la Casa.

We recommend you stay overnight to enjoy the evening ocean views from the balconies.
