We know we need to land in Panama City area then find transportations and lodging. We would like a bit of advice for decent lodging, foods, friendly people..... etc.
I'm sure I will enjoy the chat area.
Thanks and I look forward to some great conversations....

Hi Adrian! well in Panama there are a lot of place worth to see. All depends how much time you have. You need see Panama City - Panama Viejo - ruins of first Panama, which was destroyed by pirate Henry Morgan. Second Panama is Casco Viejo or Casco Antiguo, but be careful at night it is a little bit dangerous. Very nice place for rest is Amador or Cause Way, there are some discotecs, bars, restaurant and museums.
From other parts of Panama you have see beaches, one of the best are in Bocas del Toro, but this is fareway, you can also go to Isla Grande or Alchipelago de las Perlas, muy bonito, muy precioso! need more? :P

Hello
My screen name is Chief. I like so many are looking for a place to retire that I can live comfortable on my retirement. I want to live near the water and have a place big enough that my children can come visit. I hope to come soon and find that place... It is hard to decide where to start looking first just by using the internet... Thanks for the info

Hello all!
First I wanted to say hello to everyone. If all goes well will be returning to Panama within two years, I live there before from 86 to 97 but haven't been back since. I will be heading there for vacation this april to try and track down some old friends and see how things have changed. I spent alot of time in Boquete and it has always been intention to live there when I go back down.
I imagine things have grown alot since then. I was in the army the 1st couple of years i was there, does anyone know what they did with fort sherman near Colon?
Thanks alot and look forward to chatting with you guys,
David

Hello all, yet another gringo here. I married my Kuna wife three years ago, and while we mainly live in the US, we travel to Panama several times a year, usually bouncing between PC and the San Blas islands. We currently are finishing up building our first house on the island of Ustupu, and hope to eventually build another on the mainland.
We might be moving to Panama in the next few years, give or take, and we will all be there the end of this month and the beginning of March for the Kuna's independence festivities.
Glad to have made it to this forum!

Another Newbie
I have always been involved in in the Agricultural industry. College educated and am a CCA Certified Crop Advisor. Due to the current high costs of land rental and having a personal dislike of Wisconsin winters and being single I am interested in moving some place with a more agreeable climate and where I can still be involved in the Ag industry.
