The More Ruthless Movie Vallain

Who's the more dreadful movie villain, Anthony hopkins' Hannibal Lechter or Heath Ledger's The Joker?

Once his victims were dead, eating them did not add to his menace...

Mmmm... well anyone who has cannibalistic tendencies is a bit on the creepy side in my opinion. Sociopaths I can deal with.

I guess I know how you voted

Cannibalistic tendencies notwithstanding, I still maintain that his being "creepy" - in and of itself - does not make him a more formidable villain. I would have voted for Hannibal if I thought he was more malevolent than The Joker, regardless of his cannibalism. In addition, I freely admit that my pick is strongly influenced by having recently seen "The Dark Knight." Were I to revist the other franchise, I could easily be locked in a toss-up.

By the way, have you seen "The Dark Knight?

I just wanted to make sure you had a complete perspective on both characters...
