I would very much appreciate, if anybody can give me some Advices, how to prepare my Stay

I think, the first would be to find a nice Place for Living in Panama City - with Internet Connection

any Recommendations?

Looking for a cheap quality gym to join in the Arraijan area, Prices that aren't to high and that have a decent selection of equipment if anyone knows?

Please no Panama City gyms, I honestly do no feel like being arsed to go out that way with all the tranques and what not... not to mention the prices of the gyms in the city are sky high.... Because they obviously think PC is fist world quality and people have that kind of cash to work out...

I found one in Nuevo Chorrillo for about $35 a month but with a whack schedule, no AC, and small selection of equipment. -Pretty much SUCKS.

Google is no help, only one in Vacamonte shows up and even that is too far for me, I want to find one close to where I work (watch out just revealed something private :eek:)

Can anyone confirm if Migracion will close at 1:30 pm thus Thursday. I just have to pick up my passport but would hate to be late. I will also hate to be 4 hours early for my flight afterwards.

Planning on furnishing my new condo next month. Any suggested stores? Thanks

They can start using the ACs at 8.30 AM but have to turn them off at 11.30 AM.

Private businesses are subject to 3 hour rationing for AC use. All street signs have to be turned off.

I need comparisons on the two... Night life, everyday living, expenses etc... I already live in panama so I know the pros and cons of panama but what about Brazil to Panama?

Has anybody notice this? I have been monitoring TVN 2 and it seems Panama could see 1,000 homicides for the first time. It's already on tract to reach the more than 818 the country saw in 2009.

Ive had a fascination of San Blas ever since I was kid living stationed here in Panama with my father in the military. And have always wanted to visit San Blas. Been wondering if there's any way to live in San Blas or at least live pretty near it to be able to visit on a daily basis. Ive heard it's extremely hard to buy any land there if any for sale and probably cost a fortune.

There are so many places I would consider living in Panama, and visiting of course. But I honesty can say that San Blas is at the top of my most desired places to live.

Christ, going out on the week of quincena (payday) is a horrible idea, Was at a grocery store this afternoon and it was a war zone to get a taxi, pretty bad I think. I waited like an hour before grabbing a taxi which I had to share with other locals..... And it's pretty bad enough having to deal with long ass lines with only 3 registers open, yeah smart move when you have 20 registers available... on a BUSY day.

They need to get this lack of taxi's situated. Or am I the only one noticing this?

Today, while shopping at Riba Smith Multiplaza I have noticed some lately installed, not activated yet, parking ticket vending machines. The fact I will have to pay for parking while shopping there in the future (only Riba or the whole Multiplaza?) is joyless and annoying... boo...

Panama Guide keeps reporting earthquakes in the Chiriqui province. Yet none of many earthquake reporting sites indicate any earthquakes, for quite some time, in Panama at all. What's up with this? Any first hand experience in Panama of earthquakes in the last, say, 6 months? Old reports show the location is mostly at Puerto Armuelles, but, quite a while ago.

I am aksing maybe a childish question - but maybe there are some advices, who will help me ( and other newcomers ) to save money and huzzle moving to panama city and start a new life there...
