    Panama loses a friend and advocate

    Panama lost a great advocate today as Sam Taliaferro lost his long struggle to cancer. I know many people on this forum know Sam and what a strong advocate for Panama he was. During my recent visit to Panama I had the pleasure of staying at Valle Escondido as Sam's personal guest. He was a remarkable man who put Panama on the map and is the reason so many people now consider Panama as a place to travel and retire. He will be missed by many however his legacy in Panama will live on.
    Rest now in the arms of God my good friend.

    I was sorry to hear about his passing. I never met the gentleman, but I thoroughly enjoyed his newsletters. RIP.
