acn) Cuba is attending the 26th International Commercial Fair Expocomer 2008, to run for four days in Panama City beginning this Wednesday. The international fair officially opens March 5 with a ceremony at the Anayansi Theater, of Atlapa Convention Center, in the capital of Panama, reported EFE. Domingo Latorraca, the president of Panama's Chamber of Commerce, said in a press conference that more than 600 exhibitors are expected at the fair including both national and foreign enterprises. He said he expects the event to exceed last year's transactions, valued at 128 million dollars. Latocarra pointed out that Panama's Canal authorities will make presentations on the impact of the canal in world trade. They will also talk about progress in the expansion of that water course. The fair is being attended by Cuba, Taiwan, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Malaysia, Italy, Costa Rica, France, Israel, El Salvador, the United States, China and Spain.
