Lingo24 Develops its New Team of Professionals in Panama

NewswireToday - London, United Kingdom - Consolidating its reputation as the best provider of fast and high-quality language services to customers around the world, Lingo24 opened a new centre of operations in Central America earlier this year. The new home of the web’s fastest-growing translation company, Panama is a favoured location of successful businesses around the globe. More than just the country of sunny beaches and welcoming people, where tourism is a national industry, Panama also stands out as the most industrialised country in Central America, having maintained strong and thriving economic growth over the last few years. Editor's Comment: Press releases, a nice way to keep track of new business activity in Panama. I see these as "company X announces the creation of Y new jobs in the Republic of Panama." Excellent. The more the merrier, keep 'em coming. More and more companies are setting up shop in Panama, creating new jobs, opportunities, and economic activity while providing a career path for people to follow. Employees might start off making a little money with one company, improve their skills and get hired off for a little higher pay by another company, and then end up running some other outfit down the road. It's all about the jobs and opportunities, and it's all good. The nay-sayers will bemoan the "low paying sweat shop call center" jobs, but it's better than 15% unemployment (or higher) which was the reality in Panama for a long, long time. I like the new reality a whole lot better. And I guess you can't call it a "sweat shop" if you're getting paid to sit on your ass in the air conditioning and talk on the phone. Go figure.

Panama City, the capital and preferred location of business investors, is where Lingo24 launched a new centre of operations earlier this year. At the beginning of January, a young team of talented and ambitious professionals joined Lingo24, adding their experience and expertise to the company’s consistent delivery of fast and quality translations, and thus bringing better services to customers across the Americas!

“Panama is becoming a business location for many international companies that either operate here or use this point to transfer their services to different areas of the world. This is one of the reasons why we locals call it ‘puente del mundo, corazón del universo’ / ‘bridge of the world, heart of the universe’”, says Panamanian Office Manager Victor Barrios. “I think this phrase perfectly describes how the new team of Project Managers and Account Managers in Panama City will bring a wonderful boost to Lingo24’s worldwide delivery of professional business translations”, he adds.

Following the attention it received from the local media and the general hospitality of all its new partners and friends in Central America, Lingo24 is basking in the warm welcome and looks forward to fruitful business development in Panama!

About Lingo24: Lingo24 is one of the fastest-growing translation companies in the world, with operations in the UK and seven other countries worldwide. Founded in 2001, the company is a great case study for: e-business (90% of its customers find it through the Internet), globalisation (its business is a barometer of globalisation for British business, and the company itself has 'internationalised' in a short space of time), EU expansion (the company has its largest operation in Timisoara, Romania), green business (the company has a strict environmental policy and limited office use to minimise unnecessary travel), home-working (Lingo24 employees work from home more than 95% of the time), youthful entrepreneurialism (the company was established by a 22-year-old graduate of Oxford University).
