Thread: Buying Stuff from the US Online

Today I was rejected when buying online from Panama in the US.

After some investigations it turns out some vendors are using fraud screening software that shows them I am ordering with a US credit card but from a foreign country - Panama in this case.

Not sure if I need to VPN into the zip code of the cc or what is going on, but for sure I will order through a US proxy server in the future to avoid this BS.

What site(s) were you using?

I make 5 to 10 a month and never had that happen. Sometimes -- I'll run into issues because the address of the card is different than the shipping (which is 2% of the time).

In this case it was SiteGround: Top hosting solutions and free website resources

I guess you are not buying on newegg.com then. That one and a few car part site I have found unworkable if no AVS match for shipping address.
