    Checklist for Martinelli

Add as needed. Would be fun to see what people would want:

    1. Implement one-time-plate-keep-your-receipts system for car renewal/registrations.
    2. Don't sign any OECD stuff. If signing get rid of the "know-your-customer" concept.
    3. Dedicated bus stops.
    4. Dedicated taxi stops.
    5. Cuarantane cars that block intersections for 2 weeks.
    6. Turn off the toll boots for corredor sur (eq north) when it's possible for the drivers waiting in line to get road-side service form the hard rock cafe.
    7. Initiate some bank reforms to avoid discrimination. If the bank cannot come up with a solid reason to deny
    account, has to open.
    8. Don't build anything more, like the cinta costera unless a city-wide analysis has been done before. Now the bottlenecks have just moved a bit.
    9. Maintain the water pressue nation-wide, when applicable.
    10. Change the requirements for economic solvency to a reasonable number to have 3-year CDs, such as 100,000, or force people to demonstrate a net worth of 300,000 instead.
    11. Focus all efforts on internal efficiency rather then political "I am the new sheriff in town" land repos.

    12. Extend tourist visa's from 90 to 180 days (add of fee of $100 even)
    13. Make it mandatory and enforce that taxi's cannot turn you down dependent upon destination and enforce the charges they can request.

17- A mass transit metro system (including subways and elevated railways) to relieve the gridlock as seen in the video below.
18- Install traffic signals at all busy intersections to avoid the type of chaos seen below.

    Yup, that video was incredible.

When I was down last year, I remember taking a diablo rojo during afternoon rush hour (mistake).

At one point it got stuck in an intersection blocking perpendicular traffic in both directions for 5 traffic lights.

I remember nobody was honking (amazingly) and this led to my impression that this was somehow "normal".

    Simply incredible.

I think this was the last time I took a diablo rojo..
