Job opportunities for EU citizen in PC?

HI everybody,

please let me introduce myself very briefly:

My name is Stefan, I'm 27 years young, Austrian citizen but living and working in Ireland currently.

My friend and I are very interested in living and working in PC.
We have read a lot about Panama, although we are aware, reading is not the same as being there live. We aren't afraid about changes (flight ticket to Dublin was a one way only - ok, Dublin is closer to Austria as Panama), we're very adaptable and enjoying our live but are serious enough.

Ok, back to our original question which is, if we would have good chances to get employed in PC?
My friends specialist field is IT (programming of homepage, IT call centre support) and I'm a Personal Assistant to senior level Management. Our native is german and we have a high fluency of english language, although spanish is completely missing....!

I've googled to find recruitment sites, job search engines in/for Panama but wasn't successful as I've wished to be unfortunately.

Are anyone of you aware of job roles/opportunities for foreigners, e.g. bank field, PA, clerical, logistics, transportation firm, at the canal, etc...?

I have acknowledged that many people are opening their own business... well, I would like to do the same, but have to take into account that I would basically need to employ for everything someone except managing.. I am not sure, if the money will last for all the hired staff. Helmut is my best pal since 5 years but we consider doing something differently.

Also, I've read about the investment Visa entry, the forest Visa... we don't have the money (in cash) for those visa types but would hoping to get a visa sponsored... is this going to be happen?

We really appreciate your adivces and thoughts on this,

Many thanks and Take care
Helmut and Stefan

For jobs you could try Encuentra...

But as for the visa, I could not tell you, but if you find a suitable post then I imagine the employer could arrange work visas.

Hi Zog,

many thanks for your swift reply - much appreciated.

I didn't know this link but had a look right now.

It seems a quite good source for jobs. I have applied to one straight away :-)

Well... the only thing I am struggling bit is the salary range... just in comparison.... I am paying monthly 1.400 EUR for a 2bedroom apartment in Dublin.

Anyone a roughly guideline what's the maximum is able to earn as PA, Executive Assistant in Panama, please?

Many Thanks @ all,

Stefan
