The major companies involved with import/export would be shipping and there is a "banana" boat load of them

But seriously, if you do a google search using "Colon Free Trade Panama", you will find all of the shipping companies you could possibly hope for and there is also a publication if you ask around enough. There is also allot of international companies (mostly Chinese) that are looking to buy and sell items. Real estate is everybody that is getting sick and tired of their own country screwing them. I have heard some stories of connected Americans getting early into the game. One snippet I heard was a VERY FAMOUS basketball player with the initials M.J. has some $$$$$ invested in Red Frog beach in Bocas.
