Thread: Bocas rental

Hello,

I'm new to this forum, so pleased to meet you all.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with something. I'm presently in living in David but I need to spend three weeks in Bocas del Toro for work purposes. Does anyone know of a decent short-term rental? I would be looking to pay no more than US$150 per week for the period Dec 7 - Dec 31. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I just booked two weeks in Bocas on VRBO.COM there were some pretty good deals but I saw nothing that inexpensive. Are you by yourself? I think I saw a video from Mr woohoo that showed a hostel that was pretty inexpensive. You might want to check out his bocas videos on this site to see. You can also PM him and he might be able to tell you what he saw during his recent trip. I was going to skip Bocas altogether but his videos and commentary changed my mind. You came to the right forum people are friendly and helpful here. Good luck on your search!

Now I have seen small apartments for $350 per month in Bocas but they are probably not advertised anywhere. There are signs on places that will say "alquiler" (rental) and a phone number, possibly price listed? You can stay at a hotel or hostel for a night or 2 till you find something. You could also possibly stop by the Toro Loco (expat bar) in the evening, make some friends, and ask around.

For what period would it be?
