Underuse of forum tools
As a member of countless internet forums, I can honestly say that while it's my current favorite, the members (incl. mods.) of this forum use (by far) the fewest tools.
The most glaringly underused tool is the two "quote" boxes on the bottom right of each post/blog. The purpose of these boxes is to make it easy to either directly (and accurately) quote or respond to the poster. Failure to use the "quote" tools not only makes it a chore for one forumer to quote another, but it forces the reader to search previous posts for context.
Here's how to prevent misquotations and clarify who you're responding to, without having to even say his/her username: To quote one person, instead of clicking on the [Post Reply] box, simply click on the [quote] box on the bottom right of the post you want to respond to.
To quote multiple posts, click on the [quote+] box on the bottom of each post you want to quote or respond to, except the last. To start your post, click on the [quote] box of the last post.
Note: You can quote or respond to as many posts at a time as you want, as long as it's within the same thread, regardless of the page.
Other underused tools on this forum: Toolbar at the top of message field and User CP tools like avatars and signatures.
