abortion is illegal also.... unless the women is raped (she haves two months since the rape) or the pregnancy serioursly menaces the woman life, in that case an authorized physician by a medical board appointed by the Ministry of Health can practice abortion if she gives consent. (art 142 - New Panama 2008 Criminal Law Code)
